Our Discovery - from Corsley Primary School to Corsley Conference Centre
We stumbled across the old school in Corsley in February 2008 on a bitterly cold day. Even though the building was empty, it clearly retained a welcoming atmosphere. On that first visit, we could see the potential for creating a dedicated meeting, training and conference centre which perfectly adapts for parties and celebrations. The process of buying it at auction let alone the renovation was, shall we say, challenging (just like those TV programmes) but the result was well worth the blood, sweat and tears.
So, how did I ended up in this quiet, corner of Wiltshire? Originally from Tavistock, Devon, I have lived in London and Brisbane. As well as travelling throughout Africa, India and Asia, I have made several trips to Europe. My travels finally led me to Frome where I have lived since 1992. Nowadays, my trips are closer to home although I occasionally manage to escape to the hills of NW Majorca and Dorset.
My career has mainly been in business and administration where I have been drawn to the medical and healthcare fields. My forte is setting up efficient systems as well as marketing (diverse roles which lead to a very varied and interesting day!) Whilst living footloose and carefree in Queensland, I set up a catering business providing a range of vegetarian dishes, desserts and cakes to local restaurants and shops.
On my return from Australia I have been jointly responsible for bringing up two fabulous children and setting up the European College of Bowen Studies. ECBS runs training courses in the Bowen Technique ( www.thebowentechnique.com ). As Co-Director I have been very much 'behind the scenes' focussing on the continued promotion, marketing and administration of courses throughout the UK.
I have lost count of the number of courses and meetings I have arranged but I certainly know the little touches which make all the difference to the success of an event. I look forward to meeting you and I invite you to phone me 01373 832 494 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
